I investigate universal laws governing nonlinear out-of-equilibrium systems, focusing on the emergence of spatiotemporal complexity in dissipative structures such as patterns and localized states. My work combines optical experiments in a liquid crystal light valve with optical feedback, combined with numerical simulations and theoretical analysis.
